Kitchen and Bathroom Sinks for RVs, Motor Homes, Modular Homes, & Residential Homes.

Surface Mount Installation Instructions

Surface Mount Installation Guidelines

1. Place the sink UPSIDE DOWN on countertop.
2. With a pencil, trace a line around the outside edge of the sink onto the countertop.
3. Remove the sink from the countertop.
4. Measure in 1/2" and draw a new line inside the first sink outline just drawn.
5. Cut out the countertop on this inside line.
6. Apply adhesive sealant into the groove provided on backside of sink. Use only recommended type adhesive or caulk. SEE NOTE #2
7. Press sink down firmly and evenly until rim of sink is even with the countertop securing it into place. If using nonadhesive caulk, mounting clips (included) must be used to secure sink.
8. Install faucet, strainer baskets and plumbing according to manufacturers instructions.

If it is necessary to drill any additional accessory holes, it must be done prior to installing sink in countertop. A guide hole has been provided on back side of double bowl sink in the proper location. Use a small 1/8" bit to drill completely through sink to mark location on top surface. Use proper size hole saw to complete hole by drilling from the top surface only. Drilling with hole saw from the bottom surface will splinter hole edges on the top surface.

Notes....

1. Mounting bosses are made for only #10A 1/2" screws. Be careful not to over tighten. We do not recommend using air drive tools. Mounting clips are optional if using an adhesive sealant. If using a caulking compound, the sink requires only 4 mounting bosses. More are provided to accomodate different cabinet and plumbing designs.
2. This is a self-rimming sink. It has been designed to be installed with a soft acrylic, latex or silicone adhesive. DO NOT use butyl tape caulking or any hard caulking compound that requires excessive pressure or uneven tightening on the rim of the sink when fastening clips.
3. CAUTION: Excessive, uneven pressure and bending or flexing of the rim to meet the countertop during installation could cause cracking.
