General Product Information

American Stonecast Products kitchen and bathroom sinks are made to withstand high heat ranges, and will not melt or crack like other materials when they come into contact with hot dishes, pans, etc. Our products withstand heat of up to 500 degrees. You can literally lay a lit cigarette on our product, let it burn completely down, and there will be little to no staining from the smoke/heat. Any light tar stain remaining can easily be cleaned off.

Light scratches and stains can also be easily removed with quality cleaners and the use of Scotch-Brite Pads, or light sanding. Many chemicals and cleaners will not harm the sink or cause discoloration when cleaning.

Abrasive cleaners such as Ajax, Comet, Bon Ami or Bar Keeper’s Friend, may be used to remove mild stains and for routine cleaning. The use of an abrasive pad such as “Scotch-Brite” will remove most of the tougher stains. For the most stubborn stains, fill the sink about one quarter full with a 50/50 solution of bleach and water. After 10 or 15 minutes of soaking drain solution from the sink as you rinse both sides and bottom. Do not use steel wool or metal scouring pads on our products.
